Default Intake duct similar to dc2>>>>>>

Anyone every spot one of these bad boys on a dc5? do they exist? if not, we gotta make a mold-$$$$ (similar to this VVVVV)

and this

hope these gentlemen don't mind me posting their cars!

the idea, of course, to get the dense, colder air navigated to the intake box (or filter) using this front piece along with some 3" ducting or larger--

Edit: Had an idea before for using a oem or aftermarket fog light housing for the cover-and the ducting routed from behind to the stock box or something similar

Let me know any thoughts on this one

a blox velocity stack pretty much works the same way but i think they do make one similiar for the ep that mounts at the foglight location

The only ducts I know of for the DC5 use the foglight location and they are OEM Type-R brake ducts...

You could make your own, and it would be quite simple. Just remove fog light cover, rig up some dryer vent ducting and route it up to the intake.

Did you just use a Dremel to cut that? The cuts look really clean.

Yeah, the only reason I have been lucky in Oregon is because my filter is covered by the under body tray and fender well lining. It is still low but just slightly protected. I have thought about having a winter intake and a summer intake so that I could make an air duct for the brakes and stuff.

I forgot to mention I have fog lights installed already. since the car is an 02- cuts had to be made to fit the housing in, leaving me the option of the fog light housing I have already and just removing the light assembly behind it running said air ducting to the stock box and/ or filter to my SRI.....
