Brake light switch?
Okay, so I accidentally cut my brake light switch from my original harness. And I'm trying to rewire it up.
Here's my question:
(Brake switch is in center of picture.)
Is it okay to just run the white/green wire mentioned in the picture, THEN just have a ground to ANYTHING/ANYWHERE?
Or do I have to hook it up to the brake light FIRST, then ground from there?

To sum it up, white/green wire for sure...... then where do I have to hook up the ground? Is it okay anywhere or what?
Thanks for any help in advance!

I am kinda confused at what you are asking but ill do my best. There is a reason the grn/wht wire keeps going to the right side. It should go into the ECU. So, no you cant just hook the ground up anywhere. Is this a auto or manual by the way?
^Yeah, I never noticed the green/white wire til just now...... damn, it's gonna suck having to rewire it.
It's manual, but not sure if that matters.
Good morning bump.

Well for an automatic you must press the brakes to get out of park. I was thinking of why it would have to go to the ECU in a manual. For cruise control to turn off... its early thats all i could think of
