distributor- hole on top

i need to know if this hole on top of the crx/civic dizzy does anythign special?
between the cap and housing

what does it do?
can i cover it?
etc

whats it for ?

if its on the backside near the dizzy connectors then it's not for anything. if you have the correct cap seal then that hole should not be open

It's part of the distributor cap seal. It can be had at any Honda dealer. The cast is shared with other distributors...some of them have wires that go through it. I've changes mone before

do you mean the two holes on top that are supposed to have the rubber piece in em? if u look in em can u see the screws to the coil?
