d16 obd0 v-tec??
so i was just driving around my town today.. when bam! i noticed a crx in someones yard. me, being the curious person i am, proceeded to see if they would sell it. i slowly got closer... and BAM! two crx's. think the story is good so far?? hang in there it gets better. i go to the door and knock, farmer john answers (ha ha) he has owned one since 1991. the original owner... so i start asking him about them. he said he uses the hf for the gas milage back and forth to work. so i said what about that si over there?! he said oh thats my parts car... some guy did some kinda........ "k-tec swap on it" so i said would you wanna sell the motor? he said that the motor had a knock in it. i finally pop the hood, covered in oil i see a diamond in the ruff. so i get to wiping that engine code area, after 20 minutes of scrubing.................................... its a jdm zc v-tec swap (= i asked him how much he would take for it and he replied "offer" i said ill give you 70 for the head and the ecu. he said hell, for 70 you can have the whole motor and tranny!! so here is the question, since the actual motor has a knock i was thinking that i will do a mini me swap.. but i got to looking around and its all obd0, the dizzy, injectors, ecu... all. the v-tec is hooked up. so my question is how is it running v-tec in obd0? and whenever i do the mini me should i keep it that way?
most likely the other guy set up vtec to work with an rpm activated switch. it gets the job done cheaply, but its not the right way. a rpm switch cannot change fuel trim. there is also a way you can make an obd0 ecu use the a/c relay wire to properly activate vtec, but its not very often done this way so don't get your hopes up lol.

i know to do it right ill have to have the following: obd1 dizzy (any specific one?) a p28 ecu, and obd1 injectors ( i have a set but they are from a b18, will they work?) and a jumper harness... if anything is forgotten please inform me
you don't need the injectors. obd0 ones will work just fine. if you want to use them though, just delete the resistor box and you'll be good to go. and yes the b18 ones will work, virtually all d and b-series injectors are 240cc. off the top of my head i cant recall which d-series dizzys will bolt to that engine, but so long as it is a vtec dizzy, and does bolt up properly to the cylinder head, then it will work. only thing i can think of that you didn't mention is a 4 wire o2 sensor.
crap i forgot about that.. and now that you mention it i will also need* to get some obd1 to obd0 dizzy plugs.. i bought the multipoint converted harness off ebay a long time ago so im also thinking of buying the whole obd1 kit to go with it.. is there anything i need to snach off the motor that ill need for this swap? like plugs, sensors etc..
(* i really dont like to wire lol, i dont need them but it'd make my life easier)

i went after school today and i pulled the head so i could do a mini me on my d15b1. the motor is a zc v-tec, now here is whats wierd, its running off of a non chipped pr3! the v-tec was run to the computer. so how can this work? i'm so confused.
oh and the whole motor is a zc with an si tranny. i got the v-tec head, pr3 ecu, throttle cable, and a clutch masters cluch and lightened fly wheel.. all for 50 bucks.
