LS to ITR to NSX Caliper conversion
Ok, I work at an Acura dealership. I've got an '01 LS Integra that I want to put ITR 5 lug suspension/brake set up on. I also have at my disposal some used NSX NA1 and/or NA2 front brake calipers. If I use the bearings, hubs, rotors and pads from the ITR up front, can I bolt up the NSX calipers without a problem? I think there's some milling involved with the brackets...? I'm not concerned with the caliper compatibility with the rear as I've got RSX rear setup already in the works. I've read threads about this type of conversion on DA Integras and Civics but I'm confused...if I use the above mentioned parts, will either the NA1 or NA2 calipers bolt up? Thanks for any advice...
nsx calipers will work on your 5-lug using the itr brackets (stamped 23T), stock itr rotors, & will clear usdm itr oem wheels

is the ITR caliper bracket necessary or can i use the LS bracket? i'm trying to avoid buying the ITR caliper just to use the bracket...
edit: i can't get just the bracket, only a whole new caliper is available so...

the "LS" bracket won't work w/ NSX calipers
the reason for the ITR 23T bracket:
NSX calipers w/ 25T bracket, ITR rotor is a safe bet since it's only off by 2mm

except all nsx rotors are 28mm thick and itr's are 23mm so this will bring up all the issues abotu shims and spacers that im still seeing no point to, calipers float and will compress so the use of shims is really not necessary unless your pads are almost gone which i doubt anyone will go to that limit."

before you convert your 01 integra LS 4X100 to a 5-lug,
have you considered you keeping your 4X100 & still swapping the NSX calipers?
the brackets can be found in junkyards; examine the slider pins move freely & the boots aren't ripped.
brackets are also are available at parts stores, "dorman" reman's them.
once you acquire the brackets, you'll need to have them machined
(when installing NSX, ITR or legend GS 2-pot calipers on to non type-r hubs, machine work is required)
ROTORS
a. re-drill prelude VTEC rotors to 4X100
b. fastbrakes.com 4X100 11" rotor
everything is a bolt-on, bleed your brakes, & break in your pads.
imo, spend the rest on tires
so which NSX calipers are at your disposal?
you stated you have NSX NA1 and/or NA2?

approx 3.2 mm (or an 1/8")
examine the bracket (where the 23T is stamped) & look for the #3 to be cut in half
the amount machined should be equivalent on both sides on each bracket (which mates to the knuckle)

yeah a friend of mine has a '91 NSX that he's been modding over the past few years that i've worked at the dealership and we established our relationship there...
anyway, he comes up and orders parts all the time, recently upgraded his brakes to a custom Brembo setup and now has these calipers just laying around...
said he had a set for an NA1 and an NA2 but only had brackets for one set, believe he said they were for the first gen...
i'm pretty set on the 5 lug setup, i've already ordered in the parts from my NJ warehouse and they should all be there this afternoon when i go into work, minus the rear trailing arms as they were being shipped from Cali...
i'm not opposed to modifying what needs modification at all, my friend is a contractor by trade and we usually do all our own service/maintenance and upgrades ourselves...hell, he dropped his own motor and trans in a garage last year and had it back and running within a week...
i appreciate your help man, gives me more motivation to knock this out

i am about to do the itr 5 lug brake set up on my ls dc2. Ive heard that the brakes will mount up to the stock hub knuckle when you use the 25t caliper bracket and the nsx caliper also mounts up to that as well. im in the works on my brake set up il post up every thing i end up using wen im done with it all.
