i just traded my eg for a ek its a 96 dx , it has idleing problem. it revs high to low high to low when it warms up is it the egr valve?

 

What engine is in the car?

Have you checked your coolant level? Then bled the air out?

Are you familiar with the IACV and FITV? If so, clean them.

If there is a swap, what ecu are you running?

Auto or 5 speed?

 

sounds like it, it might also be a vaccum leak, i had the same problem on my vehicle and it was leaking at the head and IM. When it was warm i guess the metal softened and had a vaccum leak.

 

replaced the gasket and problem solved. Try the EGR first and then look for something else.
