Default Resurface flywheel? (pics)

Brand new ACT 12lbs flywheel mated to an Exedy stg 1 clutch, Drove it for 3k then the tranny went to hell. My question is should I worry about resurfacing the flywheel With that few miles? I bought an ITR tranny so i'm having to go with a new clutch due to going from a cable to hydro, It will also be a full faced organic.

The spots on it feel no different then the rest of the clutch, What are they from? I never abuse or drop the clutch.

no, what model cable tranny you have? if you have the ys1 you dont need a new clutch to run the ITR

I'd atleast take a sander and hit it with 180 grit or so just to put a slight resurfaced face to it. I usually recommend resurfacing, but that flywheel doesn't look bad at all, so you should be just fine. Though, if you plan on keeping it in there for a while, $45 for the machining can ensure the full life of the clutch.
