forgot to mention that previous owner adjusted the clutch pedal for faster shifting. can that cause it to slip?

well considering that the clutch is pressed against the flywheel.. then yah. it can only slip between the clutch and flywheel, or the clutch and pressure plate. and clutch kits come with new pressure plates, so i'm putting my money on the flywheel.

Check whether one axle is not fully inserted and locked into the differential.

If it didnt make the noise before you had it made then it might be bad instilation of the clutch... You better stop driving before you **** it up even more..

is it too much for you?

personally id just grab a haynes manual and tear it apart. there is no excuse to not too. how do you think all of us learned to do it? you can do it in your driveway with basic hand tools and a couple jackstands

Get a torque wrench and a manual.

no. you failed because you told them to reuse the stock flywheel without atleast resurfacing it. they told you it was worn, and you opted to keep it. shame on your part.

How is it that we never have time to do things right, but always find time to do them twice?
