Default Handling w/ 22mm front and rear sway bars?

I plan on installing H&R race springs, koni yellow struts(still looking for some), and 22mm front and rear sway bars. How should I expect my car to handle? I know most FF cars have front sway bars that are larger than the rears. I was hoping for it to be pretty neutral and not oversteer too much.

If anyone was wondering why I was going with these sizes to begin with, it's because I'm trying to do this cheaply. I already got the front from an integra and am soon getting the itr rear and asr brace from a friend really cheap.

Basically the same setup I have with the exception of H&R sport instead of race. Handling is pretty neutral. The back will get out a little under hard cornering and rough surfaces. The ASR bar and brace is one of the best things you can do. I wasnt using the stock front bar for awhile but I didnt like the snappy feeling, it was too much for daily driving.

Good to know. I guess I'd rather have it oversteer a little than understeer.

i am running the same set up (EX hollow 22mm front and ITR 22mm rear with ASR) and I still feel like its understeering pretty badly, it may be my jerkiness into corners but im considering upgrading the rear to the asr 24mm, id like it to have a bit more oversteer

The wheel rate/ wheel stiffness of the front bar is much much less then the rear bar. Ie don't think they are both 22mm stiff

I had the same setup except i had Buddy Club N+'s full coilovers with 10k/8k spring rates. I thought there was to much oversteer, then again i prefer a neutral feel with a tad bit of understeer. If i could do it again i'd go with a 19mm rear sway.

What spring rates are you going to run?

On my 2000 si I have the stock 26mm FSB and a 22mm CTR RSB. I'm running 375f/450r on koni's. My car tends to have some oversteer in hard cornering while slowing down, just depends on where I set the damping at. Other than that is is pretty neutral feeling. I am considering just switching the springs around and put the higher rate in front to possibly make it more even.

I don't know, I bought them second hand for forty bucks. I wasn't even aware they had different spring rates for each variety. I assumed all the EG/DC H&R Race springs had the same rate, and that if you wanted another spring rate/ride height, you got sport or whatever model they offered.

I'd agree bro, switching the springs from front to back and back to front will improve handling IMO. Like i said above i prefer a neutral feel with a bit of understeer.

Quick question guys. I recently purchased a teg ls subframe along with LCA to put in my 96 ek hatch. I will be getting 99 ex front knuckle. I want to run gsr sway bars up front. is it worth spending more money on the gsr sway bars? would I benefit from buying aftermarket front LCA?

The GS-R sway bar is 24mm as opposed to the LS sway which is 22mm. I'm not sure how much of a difference you would notice between the two. It would be more worth it if you had a rear bar. But, with nothing in the back, the larger the front bar is the more you understeer.

Front LCA's tend to be pretty expensive, the only benefit you'd see from them is weight reduction, which is negligible. Not worth it IMO.

Your spring rates will have a lot to do with it as well as tire pressure if you are actually tracking it. I have a 98 ex, stock front sway with 22mm itr out back with GC 500 front and 430 rear. It is pretty neutral, I had dropped the rear tire pressure before the event since it was my first time driving the set up and didn't want to be surprised by the handling. In the end it was slightly understeering until I stiffened the rear a bit.
