Default LS/VTEC

Well I'm looking into building an LS/VTEC for my EF. I just purchased a a1 bottom end that was rebuilt with 0 miles. I was thinking of running p30 pistons with a b16 head. are ARP rod bolts and head studs required? will i be okay with oem bolts?

also what about balancing the rotating assembly. I'm trying to keep this cheap, so if I don't have to do that, would be best. any advice/input is appreciated..thanks!

head studs are not require altho it would be nice to get it, but i would invest in a set of arp rod bolts! dont cheap out when it comes to rod bolts, one little stretch and there goes your bearing and crank! balancing the rotaing assembly would be a good idea, because at high rpm the engine cause lots of vibration, but also not require to do!
