So all of the sudden my passenger side headlight works only half the time. When I go to turn my lights on..either it comes on or i just keep trying a few times till it does come on. It doesnt however flicker once it is on which leads me to believe there could be a problem with a relay or something. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

 

is this a retro-fit or is this a plug and play kit from ebay?

 

sounds like a ballast is trying to crap out.

 

I honestly couldnt tell you, they've been in the car since i've had it. They're hid's retrofitted into ctr headlights..thats pretty much all i know. I've never messed with hid's so im not familiar with how they hook up and what not.

 

Switch the ballast around and see if the other light does the same thing.

 

yeah it sounds like a ballast, if it's a cheapo PNP kit they are notorious for bad ballasts. post pics of your setup.

sounds like a relay problem, im on my second relay kit w/ my HID's and im havin the same flicker problem, i have to shake the wires and they come back on...

 

Ok a ballast is a little metal box that is the brain of the HIDs. Its what lights it up. No ballast = no HIDs. Look in your engine bay area. It shoud be bolted up somewhere to an empy area. The wiring from the light bulb should go into the balast. Just unplug it and unbolt the balast and switch it to the other side. Plug everything back up and see if it still does that
