Default Just bought a lsvtec and there is no oil feed line to the head!!!

i just picked up a 00 si with a lsvtec with a bunch of bolt ons for 2 grand. First thing i notice is, WERE THE HELL IS THE OIL FEED LINE?!?! the motor has been in the car for a few months now and it runs solid but no vtec, im 100% sure this is why. I will be tearing apart the motor pretty soon but i just wanted everyones input on this. has anyone else done this? i will get pics up when i tear everything down.

The only way I know how to do this is to run a VTEC block (b18c) with LS internals and a VTEC head.

Pop the vc off and take a look around. I mean the head will still get supplied with oil but that motor scares me man.

Why would someone brake in a motor like this?

If you cna pull the cams take a look at the journals.

He's talking about getting an lsvtec without the oil line. Putting the ls crank and rods into a gsr block that has the vtec oil galley already. Then you have ls stroke without the external oil line. "what? lol."

i just plled the head off. the oil orfice and oring is missing(someone pm me if they have one thanks), the head is plugged, but no oil line. the journals all look pretty dam good, im very suprised there is no scoring. And it also has ctr pistons. i did a compression calculator on zealautowerks.com and it says im at 13.93 CR. Way to high for my liking. especially cuz i live in CA and 91 octane is garbage. so i will be putting in my extra motor b16a2 until i can find that oil orfice thing.

well all this dipshit did was throw a b16 head on a ls block with ctr pistons. it had dowel pins and the head was plugged. and thats it. no external oil line. i went to a hardware store today and built my own oil line and put it on, i will be doing a full tune up tomorrow then start her up
