I just bough a CTR head that I suspect was used in a Lsvtec setup, as one of the oil ports on the headgasket section of the head has a allen plug screwed in. My question is do I need to remove this plug permanently to use the head back on a ITR block?

Ok. Just out of curiousity, what would happen if I was to leave it in there and install the head on a ITR or GSR block?

You could run an external oil line like on a LS/V, but why wouldn't you just take the plug out?

 

No oil flow to your head. Same as strapping some c4 to your head
