Default VSS connector question

Honda recommended me to change the whole harness since the VSS connector
is corroded. Is their away to fix the problem without changing the whole harness?
CEL is on due to this. And the job to change the whole harness is really expensive.

Is there a way to buy a new one? Just the connector? And also does the year matter?

i don't know of any place that sells the connector alone but i'm sure they're out there. as for year. i believe 94-00 civic has the same vss connector. you may have to remove the white spacer inside if the connector doesn't fit.
