indiana we dont use currency exchanges, whenever i sell a car its usually to someone in illinois ... i just sign the title and they take it to ur guys currency,

and i usually buy cars from illinois i have bought 5 from illinois and i have the owner sign title n take it out here so they can do a vin check and thats all indiana wants to see they will give u plates on the spot..

your taking it to illinois??? then all you need is him to sign the title , in indiana the sale price of the car is how much taxes u will pay so i usually put 50 bux as the buying price..

he shouldnt have to go no where with u just take ur title to the currency

A signed clean title is sufficient to change / register name of the car over to the other party. I have bought cars from all over and a sign title is good enough. The only problem arises when the title is not clean.

if u have a clean title and u sign it he should have no problem getting it switched over .. let him know he will need the car with him when he goes to get plates on it at the dmv. so they can do a vin check

they should have no need for you
