Engine Problems Need help ASAP D16y8
Hey guys i just recently did a tranny swap everything is working perfect.. But now my RPM gauge when it gets to 5rpm i starts jumping... Sometimes my mph gauge starts jumping also... And my idle is going up n down up n down from 1500 to 2000.. And it does it a lot. PLZZZ im completely lost i dont know what it is, what should i do.. Thanks hope to get an answer. Oh and my vtec is wire up directly with a swicth..
Now i was driving my rpm are jumping up n down and when i open the swicth the mphg cluster shoots up to like krazy and it starts moving.. And the car is like misfiring and shocking like crazy can even step on it..
sounds like you have a lot of problems. firstly, ditch that vtec switch of yours and wire it up like you're supposed to have it, through the ecu. secondly, bouncing idle usually is a vacuum leak, bad pcv valve, low coolant or a bad iacv. the jumping gauges could be a sign of bad grounds. are you running your car obd1 or obd2? i'd double check everything that you may have bumped.
also, are you throwing any codes? oh and what vehicle do you have

Yeah i already wire up my vtec how is soppuse too. And my rpm gauge it is going up and down cus of idle valve under the throttle that i have to clean.. I put the computer on it and it didnt throw any codes it told me error meaning it couldnt connect with the computer.. Now i just when turn on the car and it running good. But when im driving ill hear a click on my computer and misfire it will jank forward like a choke i mean today was going crazy i couldn even step on the gas..
OK so i went to the auto store and got the codes... I got the P1337 i know this code is the Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation sensor... But how the f... do i fix this and where can i find it lolol... PLZZZZ guys i need help.
this sensor is behind the crank pulley and ower timing cover. ive seen it where the wires to the sensor can get caught in the alternator belt and get cut up. the wiring runs on the outside of the lower timing cover in a wire loom attahced to the cover. check for bare places on the wires, you may be able to sauder them up, but replacing the sensor would be the right way. if this doesnt work you will have to change the sensor, always make sure you dont have anything else thats not plugged in.
Well ima take it to a shop tomorrow early... And i hope everything gets fix... Thanks guys... Um if anyone knows the symptons to this problem please explain them to me.. I wanna make sure is those.. Thanks
