acceleration question?

acceleration question?
well, i have a 94 ex auto (yea i know..why auto but thats not the point of my question). so when i'm at a red light and green light comes on and i step on the accelerator..the rpm goes way up..while the car does not really accelerate like it should. the car just feels like it has no power. LOL, yea i know..its an auto so i can't really expect much from it, but does anyone know what may be wrong with my car? thanks for any input. thanks all.

yeah you need a new tranny. a manual one.

nah, the problem with ur tranny its that maybe the torque converter its going bye bye.......
