Default Project: 94 Civic EX turbo street/track car

I finally picked up another project car. It's a 1994 Civic EX with 197k miles. The body is clean with zero rust. I bought my house last fall and had been looking for a project since then. This car will be mostly build for track (drag) duty, but will see some street time. I'm going to build an H2b turbo setup. Thanks for looking. Let the project begin!

End of day 1: removed the front bumper support, removed the AC, loosened the axle nuts, did some minor cleaning. Pictures of the progress.....

Thanks. Next on the agenda is to pull the engine, install a manual steering rack, and spray down the engine bay with simple green. (I'm going to pull the engine this coming tuesday)

Clean base! Are you planning on keeping the single cam or going with a dohc to turbo?

Thanks. The paint has oxidized considerably, but other than that, it's in great condition. I may repsray the car a slightly darker shade of red, but that would be waay down the road.

Get system discharged. Unplug the sensors connected to the AC fan/compressor. Unbolt the lines and remove them. Unbolt the compressor/condensor/reciever.

Should i proceed so because I'm planning not to have the A/c because i barely get hot weather here. It know it bad for the atmosphere but i don't think it gonna damage the ozone layer that quickly. I got a civic 92 and it old..

That's really your call. You could just take your car to a shop and have them safely discharge the system. Then remove the AC yourself.
