Do the hazard lights works? Do the cluster gauges work? Do the cluster lights work? Do the heater control panel buttons work? All don't work?

If the entire cluster is not working, including the gauges, start by removing it and checking the connectors on the back.

10A fuse 15 under the dash is almost surely blown.

torinored, chill with the effin exclamation marks.

But, will they just light up or are they not working in general?
If they aren't lighting up, your dimmer switch may be the problemo.

LOL yeah sometimes simple things are missed. I had a friend with a ek9 hatch that just can't seem to get one of his headlights to work. He tried getting some help from a few of his friends. Finally he came to me as I was working on my eg6. I found that the ground for the headlight (aftermarket btw) was loose. So tightening it did the trick.

Is CEL code 17 thrown?

Also check the 1-wire temp sending unit under the distributor.
