'97 4-2-1 header vs '98 4-1 header
Ok so I have a '96-'97 ITR/CTR cast style 4-2-1 header with the 2.5" collector going on an LSVtec build.
My question is, am I really going to miss out on a lot of power because I dont have the 4-1 header?
From what I understood, I thought the 4-2-1 cast header made better mid-range power, but the high rpm power topped-off faster... and that the 4-1 header didnt make as good mid-range power, but that the high rpm power was better... Am I wrong here?
Opinions? Thoughts? Comments?

Correct, from my experience with the Greddy 4-2-1, I made power midrange but seemed to run out of air by 7500-8500rpm. With my JDM 4-1 header I have now, not as much power midrange but pulls good from 6800-8500rpm. Thats just my experience.
My understanding is the same. alought there are companys like toda and cheaper replica toda headers that you will make alot more power. I have a friend that runs H1 class in the honda challange, he dyno tested like 25 different sizes, styles, brand headers, he runs the real toda header but at $1600 it to much for me, Im afraid to spend that much and then hit something and crush it. I use the replica it makes like 7-10 hp less than the real one and its $400 off ebay. and its a 4-2-1. Also it makes about 15 more HP than the 4-1 or the 4-2-1 DC header. So it does make a difference on wether its 4-2-1 or 4-1 but also the brand/style/size.
From what my buddy told me the 4-2-1 header with the big collector will outperform the 4-1 header. I don't have a comparison between those two headers, but I do have a thread where my ITR 4-2-1 header with the 2.5" collector beat the Vteckidd fake RMF in a back to back dyno test on my stock bottom 1.8 motor. It's a pretty good stock header for sure.
