Default I dont think it gets any worse than this.

Thursday, heater core hose (hose that runs coolant from engine block to heater thingy) blows. I spend most of the time after work Friday fixing it before my second job Friday night.

An hour ago, while working, I hit a big hole, cracked my transmission housing, and leaked ATF all over the place. Car is currently parked where I left it (about 4 miles away) and I'm home pondering how I'm gonna get it fixed on a sunday.

The worst part of it all is that I was supposed to get up early tomorrow morning to install my new suspension for next wekends' two day autox. I wont have any other time to install it. Plus I wont get paid for a half a nights work either.

Good night.

Plan A: Generously apply JB Weld to crack and refill with ATF fluid. Proceed to weld shop to professionaly weld crack. The crack is only about a cm long.

Plan B: Sell everything I have, max out my loans, empty savings, max out credit car cash forwards, go on a 1 week spending spree. Then jump out of a plain and forget my shute.

A or B?

Well I don't know if jumping out of a "plain" will do anything, maybe a plane though. Just giving you ****, sorry to hear you had a rough night. Look on the bright side, it can only get better here on out.

dont feel too bad...im going though some shiet too...my problem is that i have a car but no motor because everything i need from honda seems to be on backorder...i go to get rod bearings and they are on backorder....then i find out i need a halfshaft for my stick conversion and they are on backorder for 2 months...then i finally get a hold of the bearings by tracking them down piece by piece from like 4 different places in houston and i find out they are too thick since i got eagle rods...now i need new bearings and guess what??? THEY ARE ON BACKORDER! daymn honda needs to get off their asses and make my shiet already.

oh yea to top it off...i finally get a hold of this guy who has the halfshaft in stock at his shop up north and i cant get it...cause the day before i called him...someone came in and bought the daymn thing..its just on reserve so they can pick it up..oh well right

but hey...once you're on the bottom you can only go up right?

But you see, it must. I have work tonight as well, and my boss wont be happy if I dont show since he had to take over last night. I also have to get back to campus tonight, and I only have one car.

you should be able to, the rears a fawkin easy as all hell just undo the lower bolt then the upper two and basically kick (yes Kick) the whole assembly once and it will let go of the lower connection and the upper end will fall out, it helps if you can have someone step on the rotor pressing everything down so you can get the strut out but you can do it without someone else. You can have both the rears out in like 10mins. the fronts arent tooo much harder the only thing is you have to seperate the fork from the strut and if its been there for a while then.. yah.. take both bolts all the way out of the fork and you might be able to pull it down if not stick a pry bar inbetween the lip in the back of the fork and seperate it a little this will seperate the fork more and it will fall off or make it really easy for you too pull off.

im going to jack my car back up and take some more pictures of the trouble spots for you. what time are you doing this?

edit: Trouble spot in the front on the back of your strut there is a little tab that fits directly in back of the fork make sure this lines up or you will have a gap inbetween the top of the fork and where it should rest on your strut (im getting pics of how to fix the gap). ehh sissor jack helps with this

edit: make sure that the top strut mounts are turned so that they align and fit and the bottom of the strut can fit how it needs to be turning the strut after you have the top in place can help a little bit but it might cause the spring to pop out of its place remeber the spring your using is smaller so it will move easier when not under pressure.

That sucks man. I hope you can at least get the car towed to a safe place to work on?

There's a crack in the AT housing, but the housing isn't crushed or bent is it?

Well, I bought 7 quarts of ATF, and my friend and I tried clean the area up as good as possible and we applied JB Weld on it to slow the leak so we can drive it to the shop. Got to the shop fine.

The housing is slightly bent, but I dont think anything broken.

The bootleg mechanics at this bootlet shop that is open on Sunday told me this: they will try JB WELD!!, YES JB WELD on it. However, they will totally drain it and sand and polish it down so that it sticks well and give it the whole 10 hours to dry.

If this doesnt work, they say I need a new housing... meaning I'm getting an auto to manual conversion.

My suspension is put on until maybe next weekend, and next weekends autox is off too. In fact, the rest of the autox season is probebly off for me.
