Default used koni,gc questions

picked up a set of used koni, gc and im tyring to figure out if im missing any parts before I try to install them. From what I can tell I just need to use my stock top hat and bump stomps, let me know if you see anything I may be missing and a good place to get the parts if I need them. Also I remember reading there was a way to figure out the spring rate but I cant find it, if anyone could help me out thanks

Is the Koni metal sleeve included there at the top that goes through the stock top hat's bushings? Hard to tell. Hope so because the stock metal sleeves won't fit. Also be sure to install that top dished washer with the dish facing up (they're upside down in that pic).

Springs have metric measurements printed on them.

180.64.44 means 180mm spring length, 64mm spring inside diameter, 44 kg/cm spring rate.

So those are 2.5" ID, 7" long, 250 lb/in springs on the rear shocks.

Hard to read the front spring markings. If that's 200.64.58 then it's a ~8" long, 2.5" ID, 325 lb/in springs.

Sounds to me like standard GC spring rates, not custom rates. Be sure to cut your bump stops in half, but you still won't be able to go very low or you'll bottom out A LOT.

this is everything taken apart, is that the sleeve your talking about? Is the spring rate being to soft the reason for not being able to go to low? thanks for the help

Yea that's the sleeve. That plastic washer looks beat, might want to try to get new ones from Koni. I think it helps prevent the seals in the top of the shock body from blowing out if the suspension bottoms against the bump stop.

Curious, did you by chance get the proper Koni spring perches and circlip retainer rings in case you ever wanted to install regular springs?

also looks like the fronts are set on the lower notch is there any reason to keep it like that or should I move the front to the top setting to match the rear

You could leave the fronts where they are, it just means you can't raise the car as high as you could otherwise. The rears are actually on the middle slot out of three - middle is stock perch height, top is higher. On the fronts, the top slot is stock, bottom is lower.
