From turbo to ALL MOTOR BABY!!
Had a del sol d16y7 stock pushing 175whp and 161trq at 6500rpm on a 50 trim turbo boosting 7 psi. Loved the power and ran 8.4 at Irwindale speedway ( 1/8th mile ).
But I think its time to go ALL MOTOR!! Especially because my new project is a heavy ej1.
I got a GSR from a friend who decided to go k20. For $1500 he gave me:
GSR long block
Block has type r pistons and bored .025 over
-Lightweight flywheel
Head has type r cams
-skunk2 IM, AEM fuel rail, AEM FPR, RC 440cc injectors, type r throttle
body
Im new to this seen and my end goal is to run mid 13's or lower on a all motor daily driver. Help me get started guys. Without breaking the pockets what can I do to reach that goal? I checked ALOT of build threads but Im looking for how much parts and labor will roughly cost. Talking about a 2500 budget

whatever cam you go with use valve train that can handle it. From your budget i wouldn't bother with it. Spend the money on the trans. You have a pretty solid motor already. A tune and a trans that has upgraded gears will get you to your goals if you can drive
