i need to remove the bumper on my dad's 98 cr-v (me, my mom and my dad all have cr-vs). i installed an intake and need to remove the resonator box but dont wanna guess on how to take the bumper off so any help will be appreciated.
just remove the screws on the grill, and remove it. then remove the plastic clips under it and a couple bolts on the bottom and a couple screws on the sides and your done.

have you installed it already?
are you talking about the one outside? or the one inside? where the air filter is..
if you are doing ram air...short tube...you dont have to take the resonator thing
all you have to do is take the intake box out..youll need a 10mm socket...thats it...
i dont remember but...i think theres 3 or 4 .
as far as removing the bumper
take the grill out...youll need a screw driver..
theres 3 screws behind the grill too....after you take the screws out on the top
part of the grill, pull it out a little and you should be able to get the one in the middle..
after you take that out
theres going to be them lock thingy thing thing on the bumper in the middle...youll
see it after you take the grill out...take them ***** out...
then..both sides were the fender and bumper meets (right behind your signal lights)
youll need to take them screws out too...left and right...itll be easier if you turn your wheels a little so you could get in there with no problem...
then bottom part of the bumper...
youll need a 10mm socket/wrench... theres 2 bolts that you need to take out...its in there...youll see it
then there should be 2 more screws....down there somewhere...youll see it...
its holding the bumper and the splash guard/lining(whatever you call it) together..
then you should be able to pull the bumper out
its not that hard...
1-10 10 is pulling the engine out
this job is maybe 1....
if you havent done it before itll probably take you about 20-25 mins
good luck

look at my air filter... right below it is the resonator thing...you dont have to take that out
is that the one your talking about?
now if your doing cold air(longer tube filter is mounted outside the engine bay ...then...take it out...
