Default 99 honda civic ek d16y5 head on a jdm sohc block

any one ever hear of a setup like this and is it any good for turbo.the d16y5 is the vtec e for those how dont know thanks

Well, theoretically any engine can be boosted...

So I'm assuming your block code is D15B, correct? Why do you think it is a Y5 head? Because it says VTEC-E? There is also a D15B that is VTEC-E....

no the block just says zc and its a head off of a d16y5 and the d15b has 3 stage vtec this has reg. vtec

There are several engines stamped "D15B". Only one is 3-stage.
