finally figured it out-new times!(gsr cams rule!)
i finally switched to gsr cams and all i can say is wow!last night we went to montgomery for some test and tune and i ran 3 times-12.08 @117,12.10@121and12.05@119.it had absolutely no traction through first and second gear.i tried lowering tire pressure to 10 lbs and launching on low boost and it was still blowing the tires off.the track was not prepped and all of the street cars were doing burnouts all the way through the lights.also,i didn't have real good gas so i had to keep the boost down to about 20 lbs.i am so excited because now i know it will run 11's.with a properly prepped track,some practice,and some good gas i think we can go deep in the 11's.

they were 97 itr cams.as far as the set-up goes,here's a quick run down.golden eagle sleeves,je pistons,crower rods,custom turbo setup,venom 100gph fuel pump,720cc injectors and power fc.i did dial out overlap-+4 exhaust,-2intake.taking in consideration for how far off the cam gears are(head milled and block decked twice),it is really only +2 exhaust.i haven't done any tuning on the dyno since the cams but after some cam tuning on the interstate,it will absolutely blow the tires off at 80 mph!

Theres something i love about turbo R's, but yours since its a 97 makes it that much better. Congrats on a nice car and setup. Be nice to it

This is paul from montgomery, the asian guy lol, the one that talked to you at reynolds, remember the race on oct 5 at montgomery track, open by one of the stereo places. Remember??????

sorry dude.i thought that was you but i saw your profile had pensacola florida.i thought you lived in montgomery?i forgot all about that race.they don't have it on there web page or anything.and they wonder why they never have a turn out.i plan on being there anyway.

good **** . im in the process of building up a 98 ITR motor for my integra . you have givin me sumthing to look forward to . wat compression are you at ?

9:0 to1 compression.just so you know ,go ahead and get gsr cams.i went forever without themand the car loves them.

stick with your 24" tires. lower your tire pressure to about 7 psi. launch @ around 8000 rpms. start from there and play with the tire pressure and launch. 119 mph is easy 11's, even in your type r. you'll get it.

what type of suspension setup do you have, traction bars, poly bushings, coilovers?? i need help because i would like to hit low 13s high 12s on street tires
