I replaced the crappy Tri-Y I bought from subliminal with that thing and it worked out great. Best $70 I ever spent.

the best part was that the 70 dolla ebay header was all bent up on the bottom runners and still pulled out some decent numbers!

all over ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/1994-1997-ACURA-...item2c5226dce9

btw, if ur car is lower best to be carefull on the bumps as this header hangs lower than your *****!!! it was about less than 2inch off the ground on my buddies ride, so we had to raised the car up to about stock height, ground clearence on this header is 1 out of 10!

damn man, nice numbers. guess that puts to rest all the worries about ls vtec reliability, after 2 years of daily beatings still going strong! looks like if he'd kept reving it would have made more power too, power still climbing at 8k rpm

gives me hope on my own ls vtec I'll be dynoing next month, hoping to hit 170whp with stock gsr cams but with hytech header and 65mm tb

care to guess how many miles it has on it? ever taken it to the track?

also, what kind of intake? short ram guessing?

It has far more ground clearance than the crappy Subliminal Tri-Y.

I think with any decent header you will struggle with ground clearance, hytech, rmf all suck bad on ground clearance, just part of the deal. no biggie to me really although my header is pretty banged up already

it's his only car so im guessing he put about 30k+ on it in 3 years time, never took it to the track, it was a weekday and weekend warrior lol even turned it into a hunting car, we took this **** off road up in the mountains for deer and squrrel hunt during the open seasons for 3 years hahahaha......it really suprised me when it layed down 191whp. btw we used a 3inch short intake with a bpi velocity stack.

I ran that header on my ported and camed ls motor and it made a huge difference over my jg I had. It cracked me up because it was soo ****in bent on the bottom half it bent up into the normal pipe area (past 1/2 crushed) and still made good power.

only thing I didn't like was it sounded like a sooby with it.

thanks man, surprised to hear you ran itr cams with stock springs. that's freakin hilarious you took it hunting! hahahah

did you guys play with the cam gears? bet with some valve springs and cam tuning, a 65mm throttle body and a cutout you'd be 200whp+ eaaasssssyyyy. pretty good.

just curious but was this the first ls vtec you built also?

sooby's sound awesome imo too, if that is what that header sounds like then sign me up.

look forward to seeing what this setup does at the track also, very similar to the setup I'm building with my eg hatch except I have the integra ls tranny ( I drive on the freeway alot) but plan to run drag radials and maybe a 50 shot.
