Default Kelford Stage 1 Cam Test K20A2

So we got a set of the new Kelford Stage 1 cams and put them on a back to back test against the stock K20A2 cams!

Stock K20A2
-Short ram w/ dirty filter
-4-2-1 Header
-N1 Catback
-91 octane fuel
-AEM Ems
-MAP Fuel regulator kit
-AEM FPR
-Hybrid Racing fuel rail

The Kelford 179-A Stage 1 cams can be used with stock valvetrain. Making these a very quick install.

They do REQUIRE tuning though.

Attached is the baseline with K20A2 cams and then the Kelford stage 1's with a quick tune.

Also a couple pictures we snapped during install.

I will be putting a cai w/ new filter on soon and testing some more!

Big thanks to Kelford, Hybrid Racing, and AEM for all of their support and quality products!

So that's a 9.5 Horsepower Gain and 6.5 ft lbs of torque increase!

I really wanted to do that testing deal with them... but my car is out of commission...

good increase. I've seen great results so far from these cams

Some pretty good gains. It looks like the stock a2 cams work better at the low rpm range than the kelford cams but the kelford cams are better at higher rpms.

looks like they have nice integration between low cam and high cam. nice vtec transition, no dip.

That's all in the tune.

As for down low being a little down on power, a bigger primary lobe will do that. Peak power gains are very good for a simple bolt-in cam!
