Default Brake Fluids

Hi all,

I just changed my front brakes on my Civic 96 lx sedan. I leaked some fluids and now my brake paddle isn't like it use to be anymore. It's a lot deeper. How do i refil it?

Default Re: Brake Fluids

anytime you break the bolt on the brake hose/caliper or brake hardlines, you introduce air into the brake system. air in your brake lines usually results in spongy pedal feel

since you stated that you leaked brake fluid, there is most likely air in your system. get a bottle of brake fuid and bled the brakes. don't let the m/c go dry & keep it filled

Bleed the brakes Right Rear, Left Front, Left Rear, Right Front. You do not go farthest to closest with Hondas.

Always bench bleed the Master cylinder when replacing the master cylinder, ABS unit, or proportioning valve.
