DEL SOL:high 11's low 12's what does it take?
turbo lol nah just kidding what is the weight diffrence in a eg hatch and a del sol if its not much then id say the same setups they are running built k or built b20v or h2b like bauergold said
So OP if you have an S Its not too bad. I own a Del Sol Si and a 92 EG Dx and for its size the Sol is surprisingly heavy but i love it. Its going to come down to you choosing a good setup and knowing how to drive it GOOD. Take Top Ramen's advice and look through the All Motor Dyno thread. If youre lucky someone will have a Sol in there with a time and you can go from there
Driving is one thing. Getting a chassis that doesn't flex a ton in another. The Del Sol is not a great car for drag racing, too much flex. I have one, and have drag raced it, compared to my Integra it is absolutely awful off the line. You will need a cage and extensive work on the body to keep this flexing from happening. You may want to look at a different body. Or the other option is to have about 50 horsepower than you need to make up for the body flex.
Either car is going to flex. Both have open areas to blame for that. There wasnt much of a difference between the two for me, both didnt do well of the line until i kept working on launching them and traction bars helped a bit as well. But yeah flex in a front drive is inevitable no matter what chassis. Maybe for you it was the Sol, but these cars with alot of power on the front wheels = flex.
