Icon6 LS/VTEC ALLMOTOR

im building my ls/vtec and would like ur advise .....lol no crap talking.....
well so far in mind i have is:::::

b18b1 block
b1 crank
ls/shot peen rods
ctr pistons
new bearings n gaskets

still havent decide if i should knife edge my crank

and wat head and wat modification on the head do u guys recommend

Don't knife edge your crank.

Do use the search button. There are a couple of good general threads on LS/V motors (search reliable + LS/VTEC). Then look through the dyno posts and see which builds make the power you are looking for.

with ctr pistons i wouldnt use the gsr head i would look for a b16 head or just use itr pistons

yea a buddy of mine told me the same thing bcuz it will be too high in compression wise......
i was thinking b16 head wit dont know yet but ctr or itr cams

if your gonna do ctr cams i would get like b16 pistons or itr pistons

Why not knife edge? From what I read, there are no major cons in doing so. I actually just picked one up for my rebuild.

ITR piston's would be a better choice for your setup.

i recommend eagle rods and je pistons for sure

i'd go with arp bolts and head studs, ctr piston with b16 or itr head or gsr head with itr pistons, should've just mirco polish the crank Benson does it for like a bill but oh well good luck

well i have to micro polish the crank bcuz new bearings goin in n e body recommend a safe shot of nitrous

none if your using stock pistons and rods maybe a 50 shot but i wouldnt run nitrous unless i upgrade pistons and rods

the reason is that the piston aint to much of a high compression an also my rods r being reinforced .... but thanks for the advise ...u probably talkin from experience
