I can't remember who it was, but someone asked me to prove i had a 400HP Del Sol.

I don't, but my cousin built one up about four years ago and that is what got me into playing around with imports myself. If you would like the stats here they are although you would never find his car on the road as it was meant for the track and not street legal.

He had a base 1996 Del Sol and put in....
- 302ci Ford 5.0L from a 1995 Saleen Mustang
- stroked and supercharged
- Transmission was mounted through the firewall and in the interior
- striped and roll cage added
- the drive shaft was about 34" long
- converted to rear wheel drive
- ran 399.67 WHP on dyno with 87 octane pump gas
- quarter mile 10.14 @ 169MPH on 101 octane race fuel (never dynod with this fuel)
- engine sat about 12" out of the hood (there was no hood)
- had to remove the windshield and cut out part of the dash to shoe horn it in
- hit the wall @ about 150 MPH destroyed the car and put him into a coma for six weeks, gave up racing, now just does frame-off restores on older cars
