ok. ive ran into a dilema. obd0 throwing 15
which is ignition. i know.
my battery dies out when car is off.
so i have to unplug it everytime i get out
of the car. so it wont drain out.
a friend told me that my ignition is staying on
even if i take the key out.
BECAUSE he said "your ignition is staying on even if you take the key out fool.
look the key is out and your ecu is still blinking, meaning
shes tryna tell you shes awake, when she shouldnt be if the
car is off."
can anyone shed some light on this.?
please and thanks.

does your cars radio still work when the keys out?
im not sure if the ecu blinks even if the keys removed from the ignition

If you take the key OUT of the ignition and your ECU is still blinking, more than likely you have a constant power wire that is either melted into an ignition wire or are touching somewhere. This is where your drain is coming from obviously.
the ECU should ONLY blink is when you have to key on to start, not accessory.
I would start at the ingition wires that go into the fuse box. Check those over, more than likely that will be your issue.

but ecu stays on.
the ecu is spose to turn off when car is off. nothing
should be on except for alarm [if i had one] LOL
nothing should be on when the key is out, especially the ecu. theres a constant power staying on. battery to starter n fuse box, then fuse box to ecu, etc. sounds like the ignition switch is stuck in the on position even though the key comes out.
