AC removal
1990 STD hatch.....what all needs to be removed behind the dash to get rid of all the AC components? (with pics if possible) Also will I be able to keep my heat if I remove the AC components? Sorry for the newb question but it seems that all the threads about this have dead pics.
if no one gets back to you tonight, i'll get some pics of my car tomorrow since it is taken apart and show you what can be removed/modified. My car does not have any of the a/c components but I still have heat, so yes it is possible.
SAVE ALL THE AC PARTS. too many ac systems have been thrown in the garbage when ppl over here in tn (like me) need them. haha. last summer i woulda paid 200 bucks for a full ac system it was so hot. couldnt fine one anywhere though
i understand i live in NC but this is not my DD so I will keep the AC stuff to sell it I guess and EFRue57 I can't wait to see your pics keep me posted.

hey man i'm so fricken sorry i completely forgot. they day i was supposed to take pics it was raining all day and i meant to do it the day after but just forgot. i'll try to make it out to the car tomorrow to get some pics for you.
Don't know if it did/did not come with from the factory or someone else put everything in. But I do know that the dash is off and all the A/C stuff is there so IDK. So I am quessing that the heater core and heat stuff is in the middle of the firewall. So is all the A/C stuff what is on the pass. side of the firewall?
is the evaporator all that has to be removed?
It also came with a mint Heat/AC control with no cracks. woot woot
