water cooled ihi turbo. help in/out line???
so i have this ihi water/oil cooled turbo with in and out water lines. i connected them to the water lines that goes from the head to throttle body. car ran funny and bogged from 1-3k rpm. so i cut up clear hoses to see if water is going through the lines and i get nothing.
now im thinking about "T" off those lines to the tb and have one line going through that, and the other maybe at the bottom of the radiator (since there's a closed nipple down there)
is there a reason why i didn't get anything going through the lines? i also switched up the lines incase there was a specific in and out on the turbo. can someone point out which one is in and which is out?

here's where i connected them?

also, my water system is getting high pressure build up. reason for?? thermostat?

There is no specific in or out on the actual turbo. The nipple you speak of on the bottom of the radiator also will not work because its for auto transmission cooling and does not actually go into the radiator.
there's line an -AN type fitting on the lower right(looks plastic). not talking about the small hose sticking out for auto stuff.
use the in and out heater hoses. i did this with an s13 turbo on my b20 setup. worked great. Go to napa they make heater hose t's you can buy for just a few bucks each.
hooking inot those hoses will cause the idle issues you have. you have in the line and as long as there is air in the line you will hve the idle issue.
