I put a used motor in my car(90 civic dx hatch 1.5l) and even when starting it in the morning the temp gauge shoots to hot and the check engine light comes on and i can't figure it out....can any one help me with this??????

 

make sure the radiator isnt clogged or hoses are broken or no put in correctly.

 

also check what codes the ecu gives u

 

so the problems happen when you put the key to on? Or when you let the car Idle? I believe one of your harness grounds are loose or not bolted down and or your thermostat is stuck.

 

all i have is the little blue wire that has 2 pine holes for ecu and yea it does it when i turn the key on then it will idle between 1000 and 1500 rpms sometimes and when i turn the key on in the morning without starting it the temp will be stuck on hot

 

the bypass isn't working to read the codes does anyone have any ideas to help me out.this car is about to be 4sale if it don't get fix
