Can i mount my stock fuel pump out side the tank? or does it have to be inside for lube and cooling?
I have to buy a Fuel cell for car and getting the wires in the tank will be a pain unless i go to a HIGH dollar cell.

I can put the hose and screen in the tank, but will the pump over heat or anything like that if its mounted outside?

 

Aftermarket out of tank pumps.
When I install these I remove the intank pump, build a syphon tube to simulate the intake pump complete with the filter screen and all. Then run the fuel line to the external pump. The external pump should sit lower then the fuel tank.

What you want to do sounds like a bad Idea. but be a free thinker and do it anyway. Then post up your progress.

 

Can someone post a link to external fuel pumps for a 91 hb? and What should the psi be or the gph?

why do you NEED a fuel cell??

 

I race it at an oval track.

 

then your gonna need an inline pump to use the fuel cell, oem pump aint gonna fly
