singal cam valve question
i have a 92 civic si singal cam with a greddy turbo kit on it after 250000 miles on the motor and a 150000 with the turbo kit it on it let go. so i am rebuilding the motor from top to bottom was just wondering if i should do big valves or stock size valves
a turbo with 150k on it isnt going to hold much longer. i say either find another turbo and d-series motor, or simply find a b-series motor and you could still go boost, with higher hp capabilities stock for stock
Stick with stock sized valves. A lot of pistons aren't clearanced for oversized valved. Also when VTEC engages, sometimes there can be valve to valve interference issues.
D series motors can take quite a bit. I do like B series, but the D does do well boosted, and it's cheap.

i have a new turbo and my motor is rebuildable it just needs new bearings i was going to change out the pistion and rods with aftermarket i also have ended up with valve springs a retainers for nothing
also my friend owns a machine shop and i can get all the work done for nothing to i just had a VW vr6 motor rebuilt and he chaged me 450.00 for regring the valves and sets in the head and boring the block and puting the block short together

Like thumper64 said. Stick with stock size valves. I've seen people with oversized valves with no increase in power what so ever. It all depends on what is exactly done to the head. You should also read this:
