Default Repair rear end bumper and paint questions

1996 4dr Accord 4cyl

I looked around but didn't find all of my answers.

Someone rear-ended me and now that I have the cash from the insurance company I am thinking about repairing the bumper myself. I'm not too concerned about it looking super awesome, it's basically a work car, but I don't like the dent so if I can fix it and keep some of the money it would be worth it.

Basically I think I can pop the dent out of the bumper cover, there is a piece that it looks like the cover slides under that is on the top left right under the bottom of the trunk that I will have to bend back in place.

Can anyone suggest how to remove the bumper? It may be pretty simple but I've never done it before. Any pics you know of that show what to look for.

If/when I get it off and I can pop the dent out, is there a easy way to get matching paint I can spray on to cover a small area where the paint came off? Can I buy paint in a can from the dealer or auto store or can I put the touch up paint in a air sprayer?

There is a small dent in the trunk too, what is involved with patching that up and painting it, I'm sure it's the same concept as patching a hole in the wall but what do you use to fill the hole once your done?

i'd use heat to pop out the dent in the bumper. usually not too easy just to pop it out with you hands. and i think it ll be pretty hard to find a spray can to match your color, unless its black. i'd just go to a local body shop and ask nicely for a couple touch up bottles of paint. maybe enough for you to spray on your spot. we have ppl come to our body shop all the time requesting touch up paint, and we never charge.

your bumper should just be a 8-10 clips on the bottom of it, maybe 4-5 on top when you open your trunk lid, then there should be i think 4 screws that bolt up through you quaters, then 2 on each side of the inner bumper wheelwell. not 100% sure on that though, never taken one off, but it should be similar to most hondas. you probably have to take your tail lights out too. good luck.
