sooo I recently purchased a teggy... It needed a master cylinder and slave cylinder.. I replaced both.. the clutch works.. BUT it wont let me shift it into 1st, 3rd, or 5th.. AND it will let me shift it in to 2nd, 4th, and reverse without engaging the clutch.. I havent started teh car and tried it if that makes a difference? also, the passenger drive axle is missing right now.. please help me

so you started the car without the passenger axle in...? Sounds like there is a problem internally on your transmission, have you ever removed the casing? i had a similar problem with my transmission where it wouldnt go into 3rd, 5th or reverse and it was because there was parts missing inside the transmission casing

My guess is a bolt from the change assembly came loose and is laying in the casing wedging itself agent the assembly. Which isnt allowing you shift up.

You will just need to pull the tranny apart to determine the problem

pull the tranny off and remove the casing, i would suggest taking it to someone to have the work done, transmissions are one of the most complicated things in the ****ing world, ***** crazy

I would disagree, 5 speed trans are the easiest thing to do. I would rather rebuild a trans than do a timing belt. As long as when you disassemble the main shaft counter shaft you take everything off and place it in order your good. You cant really **** up. Main shaft, counter shaft, and shift forks come out as one assemble, diff just lifts right out also. Their cake to work on just dont get to nervous and intimidated because their are a lot of peaces.
