Default few eg questions...

wats up guys...i just bought a 95 honda civic ex coupe with a jdm d15b engine with it....i just got a few general questions...

1. what do you guys consider a complete tune-up?

i was always thinking the things are an oil change, change the oil filter, gas filter, spark plugs and thats about as much i can think of...

i need to align the front end?? can i do it myself because i heard its pretty easy or just pay a shop to do it?

when i first started driving the car, coming out of first the dash vibrates hard but your coming out of gear normal...what could cause that? i got used to it so i rarely come out shaking but still wanna know the reason...

my car idles either high like at 2500rpm, idles fine at 900-1000, or boounces up and down between the two.... i clean the iacv but still does the same...doies anyone know what this can be?

sometimes once in a while when letting go of the clutch u hear a loud high-pitched whining noise as if something on the clutch when your letting it go is rubbing againt something...can anyone know what this could be?

thats just a few from the top of my head....the rest i pretty much know and is an easy fix, if anything i will come back and ask you guys....so can anyone help??

If you just bought this car used, I recommend swapping all maintence items. Heres a few things to consider:
spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, dizzy cap, rotor, oil change, check belts (replace if needed), check trans fluid, take it to a shop to have valves adjusted, rotate tires, clean carbon buildup on TB, flush radiator and put fresh anti-freeze, check brake fluid (replace if it looks dirty), check suspension parts (i.e. ball joints, tie rods, bushings, wheel bearings) replace before you take it to get aligned. Thats all i can think off the top of my head.

Definately have a shop align the car for you. NTB seems to be a decent place to get it done, and if you dont know any history of the car, Id suggest taking it to a frame alignment shop to get it done if you suspect your car was in an accident and your frame isnt straight... Learned that from my new coupe when I took it to get aligned. My caster was off so my wheels dont sit straight, and my motor mounts dont align so its a pain in the *** to replace them.

Check your axles. Look for a torn and ripped boot. Theyre easy to spot because they'll be grease EVERYWHERE.

Cleaning your IACV will sometimes fix the problem, but if you clean it and it does nothing, then its probably bad anyway. Thats a very common problem with hondas. Aside from that, check for vacuum leaks.

If that high pitch sound sounds kinda like a whistle, and it stops as soon as you step on the clutch, it COULD be your throw out bearing. If it is, Id recommend replacing the clutch while you get that replaced since your trans will be down anyway, and you could upgrade it incase you decide to boost later and will need the extra clamping force.

.
i rotated tires already and in the process, i found out the suspension was skunk2 pro s full coilovers (i kinda like the performance but way too bouncy for a dd).....the front right makes a noise im thinking about checkin it out as im guessing its the suspension....im doing the oil change, spark plugs, fuel and air filter when i get paid tmrw....
