Which would you do 1st?
I have a 97 EJ8, completely stock, automatic, and I hate the car. It looks stupid and its so boring. I have $1500 to spend. I cant for the life of me decide what to do 1st with it. Put my swap back in from the car I totaled which now needs a new driver side HASPORT mount bracket unless I try and bend mine back, I need to order my exhaust B piping and have a test pipe made, then I need transmission fluid, coolant, and new belts for AC/PS/Alternator since they all sheared in the crash. Along with that while the D is out I would love to clean up the bay with a nice wire tuck harness, wire tuck the headlight wires and such and move things around, then maybe not tuck the brake lines to inside the car but mount the lines way far down on the firewall so you cant see that clunky thing with a million lines going into it. Or do I buy the Koni/GC w/ extended top hats, and maybe sway bars and a rear disc conversion? If I swap I will be in sleeper mode but I also wont get traction until 3rd lol What to do? lol
What are your plans with the car first off? DD, Weekend Warrior, Track, Show? I would start with the Auto to Man. conversion. Along with the swap, and along the way decide what your plans are with the car.
Okay, Don't waste your money on a ****ing wire tuck/brake line. If you have the time, do it yourself and don't pay some one to do the work that a 12 year old can do.
bend the overly priced hasport mount back, and go to vatozone and buy the belts and fluids. IT cant be more than 60 bucks for the three belts, 4 qt oil, filter, antifreeze. Ouch you can add 20-25 bucks to that for honda MTF. GC/ koni strut combo is a very good combo and will be nice if you choose spring rates accordingly to what your going to be doing with the car. What kind of swap are you talking about though?

if you dont like the auto defently swap for manual. then lower it. and as you do that fix your old mount and slowly get the old swap ready and drop that in. justmake it look good now and slowly do the other stuff. id rather have a clean looking car thats stock than a swaped pos.

I even have an extra Y8 5 speed transmission sitting in the garage. But when I go back to 5 speed it will never be with a D series motor. I miss my B18C-R and thats what is sitting in the garage on a crate. I refuse to spend money on a D series lol
