Front passenger side wheel shakes? need help
so i have a 98 civic ex, its on coilovers. I noticed driving down the northway the other day that i could feel vibrantion coming threw the floor of the car that my passenger side wheel was vibraiting, now it only happens at 60+mph but it dosnt happen all the time when im driving sometimes it wont happen for a few miles then it starts and if i let off the gas it will stop but it will come back again. i mean it gets pretty bad, i just had my brand new tires balanced a few months ago it drove fine, i had a aliginment 2 years ago.
Could it be a tierod?
Or a wheel bearing?
or something else, my lug nuts are tight ive had lose ones befor on a tire and it was just like this but i checked them today?
I was also thinging maybe the axel, i think the boot ripped befor and lost all the packing grease would that cause this sort of vibranton?

your balance is probably out again. depends on who you have do your balance too, some places dont do a very good job and the weights fly off and make your dash and everything bounce crazily. take it back to them and say you just had them balanced and they are out again. also check to see if your wheel is warped and that could be making your weight fall off. also, if your axle lost its grease and is ripped it could be that most definetly. just check the cheap stuff first and work your way up. good luck.
I had a similar vibration in my car recently and it ended up being bad tie rods. It could also be a tire balance issue like the other poster said, but just check your tie rods for any play, just incase.

i have the same problem.
somebody did suggested for me to get my wheels balanced (i hope not the same guy who suggested) but it did not fix the problem.
they told me that the upper control arm was too short or was not for my car. it was stock though.
when driving, does it make any sound when you turn left? if it does, check the axles.

well my tires are brand new the rims are not, i just had them balanced a few months ago, camber is set up perfect as i have a camber kit and my tires wear evenly, suspension is fine.
i only get vibraition going like 65-80 ive noticed it, sometime it till do it other times it wont, it will vibrate and ill let off the ease up on the gas pedal and it will stop all of suden give it gas a few miles later it starts again.
Would a wheel bearing do it all the time? same with a tire being off balance wouldnt it do it all the time?
What type of symptoms will a tie rod cause?
its just weird that it will start then i let off the gas and it stops, anyone have a clue what it could be, im going to switch tires tommorow just to see if its the wheel.

lift ur front end up... first move the wheel side to side of there any play most likly tie rod, ball jount or even control arm bushing... then move up and down of there any play most likly wheel bearing... but if u find any play... get someone to move side by side and up and down and look under urself to look for and play in the front end...
if there no play at all... check wheel balance, choppy tires

I have the exact same issue with my car from 35-40 mph. New tires and properly balanced. Full alignment was done too. Going to try to grease inside the cv boot of my left axle. If that doesn't work then I'm assed out.
i switched tires that wasnt the issue, felt for play in everything felt right. Just went on a far drive, and it wouldnt do it had high speeds, now it does it going slow and it gets wicked bad, it almost feel's like wheel hop and it only happens under 4000rpms in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. I feel like its got to be a axel. going to bring iit to synapse motorsports as soon as i can get it in.
It ended up being the driver side axel come to find out, new axel $95.00 problem solved. what happend as the CV boot ripped and all the grease came out and it was like that for awhile and **** from the road got in their and the axel just went to crap.
