Icon2 Best method of removing carbon deposits in engine?

What is the best method of removing carbon deposits in my engine? I few years back a mechanic at a gas station removed one of hoses from the engine block and attached a plastic tube which bleed carbon remover gradually into the engine for a couple hours while the engine was running. It worked great so I am wondering what this product is called? What other product(s) do you recommend?

Yup, remove your brake booster hose from the brake booster side and slowly slowly pour it in while the car is sucking it in.
