alpine hu gets feedback when motor on, plays fine from battery
So much feedback that hu shuts off all sound as soon as I turn it on, but only when motor running. I hear a pop/click right away, sound shuts off, but hu stays on.
Motor off, from battery, plays like nothing is wrong.
Ideas?? Pretty sure all interior wiring is good, but not sure about main ground. Is my hu blown?
Thanks guys!

Oddly enough, I think it is the short in the right-front speaker after-all, though I can't imagine why this problem would only manifest itself when the car is running...
Plugged in a stock honda hu last night and got rear speakers only.
On a separate note, car was idling rough and exhaust sounds "putt, putt," so I pulled and put back the plug wires one at a time, while the car was running. #2 cylinder isn't firing at idle. Awesome.
Guess I have my weekend cut out for me.

Maybe when the car is on vibration cause the wire to ground out. Its been a long time since I work on stereos but pull radio out and unplug and probe speaker lead to see if grounding out will car in at idle.
I'm retarded, it was the right-front speaker wire grounding out on the door itself. Changed the routing and problem solved.
Thanks!
Thanks!
