What Should A 2000lbs stock d15b2 EG run?
hey guys been browsing for a while, now time to post.
i have just picked up a stock 1995 EG lsi
it has the dpfi d15b2? completely stock for now
i want to get some baseline figures before i start any work
im gonna take out the back seats/spare wheel/jack/boot carpet etc
what should it run on the 1/4mile? so i know what to go against
(will be at the trak with a load of freinds with 170-200bhp fwd cars, but im hoping the lightweight of teh civic will help)
also any free/cheap things i can do while im at the track to get my times down?
i plan in a h22 swap soon, but want some figures every step.

er, lol?
i know its going to be about double that, iv run loads of different fwd cars from 105bhp rovers to 180whp Fiat Uno turbos and my last car was a 300whp fiat coupe 20v turbo.
im hoping to get it down to low 16s? is this reasonable?

i was thinking eleventeens.....
google knows the answer for most things in life
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...&aqi=&aql=&oq=
scored two variables with that first link, hp and weight on the first link
http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1...ile+calculator
and before this gets locked, no bench racing.

thanks timmydogg! but i find those calculators so inacurate.
i just used the first 3 and the times ranged from 15.09@86.26 to 17.81@78
i was more wondering if anyone had run a stock d15b2?

How accessible is nitrous on your side of the river? I'd say a 200ish shot would net you at least a couple low 12 second passes, possibly a high 11...

yeah i agree, it should be taking corners, only american cars should be at the strip as they dont do corners!
I.C.C, i could get A Nitrous Oxide system but its nearly impossible to pick up secondhand and to get a new decent setup would cos me more than a rear-ended Prelude.
if i can get some, is 200 really a good idea? i was thinking 50, matbe 75 MAX?

this thread is bench racing

the calculators are as accurate as anyone else's opinion or experience. simple physics to find out what a car should run, but that doesn't account for bad driving or being able to put the power to the ground or the million other variables. only way to find out is to go to the track!
