Default 1995 Accord Transmission

Hi,
I just recently got a used transmission on my car about 2 days ago. I was driving it and it was fine and appears to be a bit quicker than when I had my old transmission.

When I'm driving 40mph and slow down to about 30 and try to increase again to 40 the rpm revs really high up to 4,500 before i can feel the car move or I guess grab the gear...is there anything I can do to fix this or is this normal?

Thanks.

based on your description, it sounds normal. sounds like the trans will downshift and then up shift again...
does the car jerk or bang into gear when this happens? if not, then i wouldnt worry about it
