Default EP3 Fog ligts concerns

Hey so i bougth myself the Ebay fog light kit. After i mounted them. Some people told me that the relay from this Ebay set up has fried up and cought on fire many times on cars. And now idk what i should do. Should i buy better harness or stick with this Ebay setup. The main reason im posting this up is to see what kind of fog light harness you guys use and if you guys had problems with them.... please and thanks.

Do you realize you are actually questioning whether or not Ebay stuff is good quality?

If anything go to your local auto parts store and order a universal 4 or 5 pin relay from Hella or something. (If that is the style it is). That last thing you want is for the relay to burn up and start melting crap. That happened to me and the switch melted. NOT COOL.

I have ebay fogs & didn't buy anything. One of them actually stopped working after a week or so but it was the wiring or something. I have no problems to this day though. Ebay is not that worst store in the world, it depends on its vendors.

happend to me, i had to take the whole cluster apart and you will notice a burnt circuit (very thin tin foil looking circuit), re-sodder the area that is burnt and voala youre good. check the cluster for warpage due to the heat of the burn, would suck if you installed it and notice the mhp needle won't go past 40 because of a heat bubble.

Nope. There you are wrong young iv-son.

EBAY = crap. Don't listen to people that tell you it is all the same.

I sell aftermarket auto parts and they aren't the same. Aftermarket is crap. Nothing beats OE.

well it happens to me too
i bought an ebay fogs 8 months ago and till now i havent connected it yet so anyway yeah i connected everything but i notice that the metal piece that you put on the fogs wont fit so i did some adjustments
and then me and my coworkers connected the wires to the fuse box and i turn it on and the switch started to burn and also my effin cluster burned out
i am so pissed

i agree ebay is crap oem is better
and also i dont have soldering iron so i fix it in the cheapest way i replace the burnt bulbs and put a wire to the bulb holes that wont work to the ones that works and viola it works
but im planning to replace the whole cluster anyway

and also i bought a wire harness from the stealership LOL (dealership)
and it cost me around 25 bucks and it only includes the ones that connects the fogs not the harness that connects to the fuse box

Knock on wood but my ebay fogs have run 25k now w/no problems (other than 1 small rock lens crack. I used a combination of the 02-03 & the 04-05 instructions from handa-accessories.com. For the price paid I was actually impressed with the kit... Like I said though - Knock on wood...

Agree 100%, Learned from my OG mechanic buddy from Speedzone racing(most of you prolly don't know, he had NA Yellow Teg running 13's w/ full interior, featured on few import mags around 95ish.) Respect the OE!!!
