Anyone have a job installing mobile electronics?

I was wondering because I am going for an interview next firday for a job installing that stuff and they want me to tell them how much I want to get paid. But I have NO idea what the normal pay is for the job. Do you get paid by the hour and if so how much? Or do you get a percentage of the install charge? TIA
Pay depends on who you are working for. I have found that CC or BB usually start out at around $8-9 dollars. Shops that are commission based will have varying hourly rates. You could have a good check, then a bad check, then a real good check. Just depends. Where are you interviewing at?
How much knowledge about mobile electronics do you have, and how long have you been doing it? They are both usually big factors in determining how much you make or should ask for. I've seen the pay range from 7-20 dollars, it depends on your knowledge and skill, but i would ask around the 8-10 dollar range. Some places also give comission for how much you install and sell.

most of what detirmines how much you get paid is how much experiance you got under you and how fast you can do the work.. im an installer at circuit city and i make 10.50 an hour plus a bonus every month and then commission if i go out on the sales floor and sell anything..

Do you have to have some kinda schooling to get a job as an installer?
if your just starting off, look for about $8 an hour, after that most shops will pay a percentage of whatever the install price is for the job.
