Just wondering what guys with crazy light cars are running?
~1650lb with driver please.

I'm building up a car that is going to weigh around 1650 with me in it.

 

1650 is light. At 1650 you can hit 9.90s with around 310-320hp with a chassis that is really setup. With nitrous like in your sig, you can make a lot more average power and accelerate the car hard in the first part of the track.

 

too many varriables here.

 

mine ran 9.43 @ 164. I had about 900lbs of ballast though.

 

My car will make around 250-260whp. This one is actually gonna be a turbo car. No nitrous on this one. Thinking it will run some low 11s.
Could care less what the car has. If your car weighs around 1600-1700lbs post what you ran lol.

I'm not asking for a specific setup here.

 

most peoples cars arent going to be that light, as most cars have a minimum weight over1900-2000 IMO

well on a couple of test runs with 90 hp on a stock allmotor d 15 i ran 13.90et with a 1.85 60ft. and my hatch weighs 1550lbs. with me in it

250-260 with a small responsive turbo will run 10.50s all day with a wheelie bar

 

I'm not gonna have a wheelie bar, but that is pretty good to know. Maybe I'll try to rig up something.

The reason why I love lightweight cars. No power needed. lol

 

and its easier on parts.

What class do u run it in?

 

well im not in a class right now just testing im putting a turbo on it and just going to see what happens i would like to make about 400 hp when it is all done but we will just have to see what happens

well i think the car would of ran better cause when i tore it apart to start the turbo setup i found a restriction in the return fuel line of the manual fuel injection and that mean it was dumping fuel and running fat i know the motor made 130hp before so i think it might of ran a high 12 cause it was studdering alot out the hole

 

Just out of curiosity, why did you go with mechanical injection.

I would have went with carbs if you didn't want to mess with electronics.

 

i knew i was going to turbo and go alky so rons flying toilet for turbochargers was my best bet and the cheapest way to go
